In the year 2010 we took an initiative to permanently repair chronic problems in the apartment block in Maribor, Slovenia which highly affected the quality of life. Priority was the optimization of heating system and increasing of energy efficiency of the apartment block which included:
- Thermal insulation of outer walls
- Thermal insulation of roof
- Installation of regulating vents and achieving hydraulic balance of heating system
- Installation of wireless system for heating cost sharing
- Installation of entrance doors which prevent undesired airflow
- Installation of windows with double glass

The final outcome was by a 53,37% lower usage of energy during the heating season.
