Automated setting of geometrical parameters on TV screens is a very sophisticated process, mostly because the work with multidimensional, nonlinear and quite static system is very problematic. In this work we presented and original method for evaluation of geometric distortions on screens which is based on polynomial model of image forming system.


We also designed the original method for the measurement of geometric distortion of image and developed an original hybrid optimization approach, which, in the process of automated setting of geometrical image parameters, overwhelms the difficulties of the system. Image management was solved with development of historiography method for real time contrast optimization which is based on setting of camera exposition. The method uses the same hybrid optimization process, which was developed for the optimization of geometric parameters of the picture. Usefulness of the developed methods was verified by measurements on a completed industrial system for automated final inspection and adjustment of geometrical parameters of CRT television receivers.
